When people think of Las Vegas, they imagine strippers, casinos, and big fancy hotels. Las Vegas has so much more to offer tourists, and many rarely get to experience those things because they spend all of their money in a Casino! Las Vegas has iconic hotels, buildings, and theaters that will not only entertain you without gambling, but also quench your thirst for culture! Here are a few things to visit while in Las Vegas:

First Friday Event: The first Friday of every month the downtown region of Las Vegas displays art works created by locals. This event has become so popular that they now call it the “Art District.” It’s free to check out the local artistic works and it’s a great way to see the heart of Las Vegas!

The Las Vegas Zoo: This zoo is home to hundreds of animals, and is a great place to take kids, or yourself, for the day. The zoo isn’t huge but it’s a cute place for anyone that wants to take a break from the loud noises of Vegas! Children will especially enjoy the free roaming chickens and the petting zoo with pygmy goats.

The Smith Center for Performing Arts: This building isn’t finished yet, but once it is you can expect it to be a hot attraction for folks from around the world! Broadway will be played here, as well as plenty of other performing art acts. Definitely something to visit once it is complete!

Miscellaneous Attractions: Tons of other little things are available for tourists. Shopping malls, street art and fashion, as well as galleries are popular. If you drive around you will see so many more things than if you had stayed in your hotel! Get out of your hotel and explore everything Las Vegas has to offer!
